1
Accept Your Invitation
LPCA Connect is invite-only. Your campus office sends an invitation to the email address they have on file for you.
Watch your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from LPCA Connect.
Click the “Create Your Account” button — that link is unique to you.
Use the exact email you were invited with, then choose a password or tap “Continue with Google.”
You'll receive a 6-digit verification code by email. Enter it to confirm your account.
Need access? Only campus admins can invite staff — reach out to your campus office.
2
Complete Your Staff Profile & Teacher Bio
The first time you log in you'll finish a short profile. This is what families and colleagues see across the app.
Add your name, photo, phone, and a short bio so families recognize you.
Your Teacher Bio card lives in your class feed — update it anytime from your Profile to share your background, favorite things, and a welcome note to families.
Middle and high school teachers set a teaching subject (e.g. “MS/HS Math”) — it appears next to your role label everywhere you post.
If you hold more than one role (Teacher + Campus Director, for example), switch between them anytime with the Role Toggle in your sidebar.
Employees can add both a work email and a personal email for time-clock and QuickBooks matching.
3
Post to Your Class Feed
Your Home page shows campus-wide announcements. Open a class feed to share updates with just that class.
Tap “Create Post” to share an update, photo, document, or link.
Choose who sees it: a specific class, your whole campus, or all campuses (directors only).
Posts can carry a calendar event, a newsletter block, or homework details.
Your role label is automatically attached to every post and comment — families always see who shared it.
Pull down to refresh; use search at the top of a feed to find older posts.
4
Take Daily Attendance by 9:30 AM
Mark each student present every school morning — attendance should be completed by 9:30 AM.
Open Attendance from your class to see today's roster of students.
Mark each student Present, Absent, or Tardy for the day.
Finish before 9:30 AM each morning so the front office has accurate counts in time.
Directors and coordinators can review attendance across all classes from the Admin panel.
5
Message Families & Staff
Reach a parent or a colleague privately without leaving the app.
Tap “Messages” to see your conversations and start new ones by searching a name.
Attach photos or files to any message.
Campus admins are silent observers in family conversations — this keeps everyone safe, not spied on.
When you message a family, they get an alert and an email notification so nothing is missed.
Set up an email signature once in your Profile so every email you send from the app is branded — add your name, title, and even a logo.
6
Roster, Student Info & the Student Log
Every class has a roster, and every student has a detail page with medical info, contacts, and a running log.
Open a class roster to see your students and their photos at a glance.
Tap any student to view medical alerts, parent contacts, pickup people, and emergency contacts.
Log Positive Recognition, a Behavior Concern, or an Incident Report — all dated and credited to you.
Incident Reports capture time, location, description, nature of injury, first aid, and witnesses.
Tick “Email a copy to the parent(s)” and the full incident report is sent automatically — not just your notes.
For concerns, use the Grace Warning system (1–2–3) and consult the behavior flowchart built into the form.
Staff Notes stay internal to staff — parents never see them.
7
Teach with Academics (MS/HS)
Middle and high school teachers manage courses, assignments, and the gradebook right inside LPCA Connect.
Tap “Academics” to open your courses, see enrollments, and add assignments by category (preparedness, participation, quizzes, tests, etc.).
Enter grades individually or in bulk; published grades appear in each family's Academics view.
High school students carry an Assessment Pathway badge (Home, Guided, Independent) — you can view or adjust it from the roster.
Grading models and category weights are set per school year by your admin.
8
Manage Families & Enrollment (Admins)
Campus directors and coordinators get an Admin panel for everything campus-wide.
The Families tab lets you view or edit any family's record, add a student, and invite a spouse or guardian.
Enrollment moves students between classes and campuses; changes notify the affected feeds automatically.
Send a campus-wide blast email or a targeted message to a grade or class from the Messages tab.
Member management lets you assign roles, reset access, and keep the directory accurate.
Students can be linked to a family account with their own email — a parent invites them from their Profile, and you approve the link from the Admin panel.
9
Clock In & Out (Employees)
Staff who track hours use the built-in time clock; payroll admins review and export to QuickBooks.
Tap “Time Clock” to clock in and out; your hours are tracked against the campus and date.
Need a correction? Request an edit; your payroll admin approves it.
Payroll admins see all time logs, approve edits, and export approved hours to QuickBooks in one click.
Pay periods run automatically on a bi-weekly anchor — no manual date math.
10
Coordinate Volunteers & Calendar
Volunteer events and campus calendars keep the whole community moving together.
Admins create volunteer events with open slots; families sign up in one tap and get confirmation + reminder emails.
When a volunteer cancels, the coordinator is notified automatically and the slot reopens.
Class calendars show class events; the campus calendar aggregates everything for families.
Add calendar events from a post or directly in the calendar tab.
Dual Roles & Role Labels
If you serve in more than one capacity (for example Teacher and Campus Director), your account carries both roles. Use the Role Toggle to switch the persona you're posting or messaging as.
Role Toggle: switch between your roles from the sidebar; every post, comment, and message is labeled with the role you chose.
Parent + Work: if you're also a parent at LPCA, toggle to your parent persona to see your child's feed, messages, and Academics — then switch back to your staff role to teach.
Teaching Subject: MS/HS teachers set a subject once in their profile — it shows as “MS/HS Math Teacher,” etc., automatically.
Admin = Campus Director: all administrative roles are labeled “Campus Director” across the app for families.
Quick Tips
Bookmark lpcaconnect.com on your phone — it works like an app and you'll post on the go.
The Alerts bell collects comments, replies, and new posts in your classes so nothing slips by.
Finish attendance by 9:30 AM every morning — the office relies on accurate counts.
Post with confidence: your role label is always shown, and family conversations stay private with admin oversight.
For high school students, set the Assessment Pathway from the roster so gradebook and reports stay accurate.
Stuck or need a new staff member added? Message your campus director or request an invite from the office.
